Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Basically the job is for MIG – MAG with knowledge of TIG. The candidates will do very small TIG operations once or twice per month, so it is not a TIG position
  • Candidates need to be able to do an online test before employment. Technical drawings will be sent online and the candidates finish the tasks (elementary for any welder)
  • Register the follow-up data of interventions and pass the information on to the relevant service
  • Working with materials: Aluminium and alloys
  • Perform types of connections: Corner seam connections
  • Perform types of connections: Plate connections
  • Assemble and weld different elements together or on a carrier
  • Determine the materials and welding methods based on instructions, technical documents, plans, …
  • Working with materials: Copper, nickel
  • Working on different plate thicknesses: from 0.5 to 5 mm
  • Working on different plate thicknesses:> 20 mm
  • Working with materials: Steel and alloys
  • Working on different plate thicknesses: from 5 to 20 mm
  • Check the conformity of the welding work, structures and assemblies
  • Check the equipment and adjust the welding parameters (intensity, flow, …) according to the material and the welding connections to be performed
  • Working with materials such as stainless steel
  • Propose changes and help determine the welding method
  • Evaluate errors and carry out the necessary retakes or finishing operations (welds, deposits, surface condition, …)
  • Perform welding according to a process: Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG)
  • Perform preventive or corrective basic maintenance of machines or equipment
  • Prepare the connections and position the pieces, plates, pipes or profiles against each other or on a carrier

 

Requirements: 

  • At least 2 years of experience (MIG-MAG with knowledge of TIG)
  • Can read a technical plan
  • Motivated person with a sense of order and tidiness
  • Working in a day system

 

Rotating shifts:

  • 1 week early shift/ 1 week late shift
  • 06:00AM – 02:00PM
  • 02:00PM – 10:00PM
  • 2 breaks: 1 x 15 min break and 1 x 30 minute lunch breaks (not paid)

 

Pay rate:

  • €13.50 euro/ hour
  • This pay rate is negotiable after a month (or even sooner) if you go up to the expectations
  • 1 x 15 min. break and 1 x 30 minute lunch breaks (not paid)

 

Accommodation:

  • €15/ day, automatically deducted from salary at the end of the week
  • Single and double rooms available up to high standard
  • All bills and internet included
  • Distance is maximum 10 miles from work
  • Shared houses/ hostels and bungalows.
  • No deposit is requested for move in to the accommodation, just sign in guarantee document for keeping the property in good condition

 

Transport:

  • Workers can use their own car/ bike and be paid some small bonus for fuel or miles (calculated by government) or they can be given a bike to use for transport (10 euro/week )
  • Bicycles are provided if candidate want to use them to get to work
  • Public transport is available as well.

 

Personal protective equipment:

  • Safety boots can be provided if needed
  • Overalls, hi-vis, protective gloves, masks etc. everything the workers will need to complete their job duties is provided for free.
  • Workers can feel free to use their own protective/ work clothing and equipment if desired
