Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-year experience in an upholstery factory (working on a bench, individually)
  • You have to be a good bench upholsterer who can perform jobs from start to finish without supervision
  • Experience in manufacturing upholstered furniture, chairs and/or simple sofas (making A-Z products)- the products are usually made for care homes
  • The ideal candidate must know how to prepare the frame of the sofa (to add sponge, springs, cardboard, etc.)
  • The ideal candidate must staple / pull the material (fabric, leather or PVC) using the compressed air gun.
  • You have to be at least 18 years old to be considered for this role
  • English is not required, but it can be considered as an advantage

Shifts:

  • Day shifts (Mon-Fri):
  • Monday-Thursday 07:30 – 16:30
  • Friday: 07:30 – 13:30

 

Pay Rate:

  • £11/standard hour (first 40 hours)
  • *overtime (after 40 hours) is paid as it follows:
  • x 1.25 (first 4hrs)
  • X1.5 (hrs 5-8)
  • X1.75 (hrs 9-12)
  • X2 (hrs 13+)
