Carrying out all common (difficult) assembly work, performing complicated work on main and auxiliary equipment on board for mega yachts, new build and repair ships on instructions.


Job description:

The bank worker is accountable to the foreman, who in turn falls under the production coordinator.

  • Reading drawings, schedules and the work assignment;
  • Choosing the most efficient working method and the materials, tools and aids to be used for this;
  • Disassembly, assembly, repair and overhaul of pumps and winches;
  • Disassembly and assembly of propeller shafts and rudders;
  • Disassembling hydraulic cylinders and steering machines, aligning, among other things, pumps, motors and gearboxes in collaboration with a specialist;
  • Transporting various parts in and out of a ship;
  • Making foundations;
  • Carrying out activities in the field of pneumatics / hydraulics;
  • Provide assistance with commissioning;
  • Flexibility in the execution of activities in other disciplines



  • Technical knowledge in the field of mechanical engineering / banking to be able to perform complicated work. (MBO level 3 working and thinking level);
  • Experience in ship repair / shipbuilding / offshore is required;
  • A flexible attitude towards activities;
  • Knowledge of working conditions, safety and environmental regulations;
  • Willingness to work in evening and weekend shifts according to a schedule;
  • Knowledge of (the Dutch and) English language is an advantage;
  • Knowledge of material and tools;
  • Willing, social and initiative-oriented;
  • Has the capabilities to grow further within the company



  • Conversational knowledge of English language – B1/B2 level (speaking, writing)
  • Driving license is an advantage as the accommodation sometimes can be far from the site therefore you will have to drive to work
  • VCA certificate ( Safety, Health and Environment Checklist for Contractors) is an advantage. If you do not have one, we need to know in advance so we can arrange an appointment for you to get one.



  • 40 hours / week (guaranteed)
  • Shifts and working days depend on the client’s need, and also on the other workers’ availability


Pay Rate:

  • €13/ h (after tax)
  • €520 / week (after tax)

*Recommendation Bonus: if you recommend other worker and the one that was recommended starts work, you can receive up to €200

  • Workers can use their own car and be paid 95 cents/km or they can be given a car to use for transport, for free. No deposit apply
  • Local buses – not advisable – no good connections between cities
  • The transport from country of origin to arrival address is not paid by agency/employer. The candidate needs to pay for his own transport
